Fortnite mobile (Фортнайт) - rumors about the release of Fortnite on mobile devices were circulating as far back as June 2018. Then the game became a temporary exclusive for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for a whopping 30 days, and only after a long wait did the game finally become available for other Android device owners. However, officially, the game only supports a very limited number of devices, with the majority of them being flagship models.

It all starts with an interesting storyline. After some natural disaster, the world was enveloped in a Purple Cloud, which not only ruined the planet's ecology but also flooded the world with hordes of zombies. Our hero, while fleeing from these cute creatures, stumbles upon a shelter where we are taught the basics of the game.

The game is based on the old and beloved concept of Tower Defense games, with one small but significant difference: it uses a modular building system for shelters.

The heroes are divided into several classes, each with unique bonuses and abilities. There is an unusually wide variety of weapons in the game for this genre: from regular melee weapons and firearms to something more unique, like a fishing rod, with which you can catch... fish. And it actually restores health quite well. Additionally, the weapons in the "Battle Royale" mode come in several quality levels, indicated by the color of the icon. The better the quality of the weapon, the higher the damage it inflicts, as well as its rate of fire.

The quality of the textures and their detailed design is impressive. The interior design elements are some of the best we've seen. However, on mobile devices, only 4 devices have received a royal 60 FPS, while the rest will have to make do with 30 frames per second, which is not particularly high for this genre.

But everything mentioned above, except for the frame rate, is neutralized by the main game mode - "Battle Royale." The developers completely changed the original concept and shifted towards mass consumerism. By completely removing the TD mode, Epic Games focused on the battle royale, constantly adding something new, and these additions come so frequently that writing a review of the game could take an eternity. There are numerous seasons, limited skins, and festive themes that you can collect endlessly.

The controls have been made as convenient as possible for touch screens, but we still recommend using a gamepad. With it, you will gain a significant advantage over other players.

So, what do we have in the end? Excellent and stylish graphics, good controls, constant online play, and a huge selection of game modes. If you enjoy the battle royale genre, then Fortnite is one of the best representatives of it on mobile devices. Unfortunately, due to its high hardware requirements, not everyone will be able to try it out.
